hi all,learnt alot from this site and board from doing my own rotors and brakes to what not and appreciate it and the help and have kept my accord and wifes civics running great and maintained...

heading out to vacation and went to firestone for a oil change only because i wanted to use my free alignment card i have when i purchased tires and havent had one in a year or so..and was told before they could give me a alignment,that i would HAVE to replace the upper ball joints,as they had some play in them,and would be pointless to align,makes sense,and asked if i was in any danger before the drive this week and told no,i just need to start thinking of getting it done,and couldnt do the alignment...

so in a panic,came home and started reading on the boards,and cost associated with this.he said 250 or something just for the ball joints,and now im reading about the arm,or the whole knuckle sometimes is just easier to do instead of the pressing in and out stuff

check majestics price on the arm,and the knuckle which isnt bad...so to a lamen who dont mind doing his research,and even if just buying the part to do it the easy way,but right way any advice on what to get to make it easier regardless of cost and also..will it b ok for the 1500 mile trip im leaving on monday for...again i hear no noises while driving..but occasionally going over speed bumps ...ty for your help or advice...and was wondering if they were just trying to get out of the free alignment...tks

 

Get new upper control arms with the ball joint and be done with it.
