Just foudn this info.....Seems like it would be the same for y7, just need someone elses opinion.....heres the quote.
Clutch, pressure plate and flywheel…The 90+ setups have a wider surface area then the 88-89 therefore offering more contact area and thus more effective power transfer. The Z6 with stock clutch, pressure plate and flywheel will bolt directly onto 89+ year transmissions. It will not bolt directly onto an 88 transmission unless the proper 88 clutch, pressure plate and flywheel are used (due to the 88s having a different spline count on the input shaft). 92+ transmissions can’t be used due to them being hydraulically activated, and the mount positions on the 92+ transmission being different then the ones on the 88-91 transmissions.

the sohc motors from 90-99 share the same size flywheel. upgrading to this clutch/flywheel combe not only give you a larger clutch but because of the larger production of this size flywheel the price of clutches are much cheaper. the clutch and pressure plate are the same but 92-99 use a hydo tranny so the throwout bearing is the only differance. which is fine cause most performance clutch kits only include clutch and flywheel.
so, do you accually need to upgrade to a 92-99 flywheel in order to use a 92-99 clutch? (if you currently have a '91)

I am asking this question because I have a y7 swap with low miles and I have an si tranny that I want to use with it. So my question again is, can I take the clutch, flywheel, pressure plate out of the y7 tranny and put it in my si tranny?

like someone stated above.
use the flywheel and clutch assembly from the y7 and get a new throwout bearing for the pl3 tranny. it will fit as long as the tranny is not an 88.
