Ok my buddy has a 02 Accord SE and his CEL is on. What im needing is a link to the codes or someone post them on here. And is the ECU under the kick panel on the right side and can I check them like I did my 96 Civic?...Any help at all would be nice...thanks.

 

the codes are posted. you could check the FAQs page or do a google search for the code.

the ECU is in the middle, behind the center console near the firewall. you shouldn't need access to it unless you have to replace it...

you can pull the codes with a paper clip like on the older model Hondas. however, using a scanner will provide more detailed information and possibly speed up the diagnosis. i don't have the link but the info is out there on how to use the paperclip method. what i do remember about it is that you jump pins #8 and #13 on the OBD-II service connector under the dash on the driver's side. it will then blink the codes with key on-engine off.
