hi, i just bought a 98 civic 4door 1.6l automatic,
the idle is going up and goes down , that make the transmission impossible to shift normally, its skipping when iy shift,

but when i unplug the tps sensor, its iddle high but stay at the same idle, so i can drive it whitout make the tranny skip.

so i CHANGED THE THROTTLE BODY completly today and its does the very same problem, so i get out the error code, i did get

- 7 TPS - throttle position sensor
- 14 IAC (EACV) - idle air control valve
- 41 Primary oxygen sensor heater
- 65 Secondary oxygen sensor heater wire (black wires)

can someone help me there, im confuse

 

You bought it like this? Hope you got a good deal?
Have you tested the TPS? Cleaned the IACV? How about doing a tune up first thing?

 

thanks for fast reply, i just knock gentlely on the iavc and the idle magicaly stabilized down wooohoo, and yes, i pay 500$ for the car
