Do I need a new computer if I am going from a Non-Vtec to a Vtec?

Icon3 Do I need a new computer if I am going from a Non-Vtec to a Vtec?

I have a 1994 Civic DX that I am DYING get an engine for. I'm desperate. Will this comversion work with out getting the computer switched? The Vtec would be the D16 and my engine was the D15b7. Please give me something. Thank you so much.

Yes, you need the right computer.

D16 VTEC = VTEC computer (P28), D15 VTEC = VTEC computer (P28, P08)
