Default v-band flanges

i'm about to start fabbing up my downpipe so i need to order everything. i have everything figured out except for one thing......i have a PTE5857 with 2.5"v-band, so i need to order another flange and a clamp. i see that there is a male and female v-band flange. which do i need for the downpipe? i cant tell the difference between the two by looking online, so i don't know which one is on the turbo already

the vibrant ones have a lip that mates to the other side. get the female side for your downpipe. but make sure the outside diameter of the flange is the same as the precision one, since vibrant flanges are usually bigger than normal v-band.

The flange i linked you to will mate up directly to the PTE housing and allow you to use either 2.5" or 3" tubing. The standard T3 housings do not having any recess mating ring on them like the V-band in/out housings.

okay, so from what i understand is that only Vibrant uses this male-female? so i can just get another one out of 304 stainless thats flat and not recessed? that makes things pretty easy. i plan on making the DP, then v-band from the DP to center section, then another from center section to the tail. thanks for the input guys
