It's called the Guard and it stars Brendan Gleeson and Don Cheadle.
My car is in the 1st part of the film, being driven about by a bunch of scobies (chavs) who subseqently crash and die, and no they didn't crash my car, they had a wreck car to be used in the crash scene.
The Guard played by Gleeson comes upon the crash and checks the youths and finds some drugs on them which he then takes and that sets the tone for the rest of the Film.
Should be out some time next summer.
here's some photos i took of them rigging the car etc.

They took out the front seats to film the guys in the back

They took out the back seats then and had a camera and camera man filming in the boot basically while they drove
Very interesting to see behind the scenes on a proper big(ish) budget Film.
My observations were that there's an enormous amount of hanging around to do on location of a movie, lot of tea drank.
Hope you all go to see this movie when it comes out, even if it's only for the 1st 5 minutes just to see an Integra Type R on the Big screen:-)

There's a place here in galway called Honda-heaven. It a breakers yard for Honda and other Japanese performance cars. So, the transport captain (guy in charge of sourcing vehicles for use on film and for cast and crew transport) went to the breakers yard to find a Red "boy racer" car as specified in the script.
Now the film makers didn't have a particular make or model in mind just that it had to be red.
So The only 2 red cars they had at the yard were 2 ITRs.
the transport guy was happy that one of them would suit the job, this is where I came in.
They now had their wreck car for the scene where the guard cones uponthe crash now they needed a fully working red Integra.
Now one of the lads working in the yard is friends with my brother and he knew that I had a red ITR.
So they called me up and asked if I'd be interested in letting them use my car in the movie.
I said sure so the next thing was I had to go out to the yard and meet the transport guy and the art director to decided would they go ahead with using the 2 tegs.
Art director gave the go ahead and the breakers yard boys set about making the wreck look like mine, red seats. Etc
did 4 days of filming in total. One of the days involved the car being film from a helicopter.
I can't wait to see all the footage in the movie. See how they edited all they shot together.
