EG B&M Shifter Probs...
So i know this is stupid as hell to ask, but i took my car to a shop that i go through to have this shifter put in since they said they wouldnt charge me. well i sat there for a bit for them to come back and tell me that the bearings in my old short shifter was trashed and they needed to order some new ones in from honda and it will be a couple days....So i go to honda to "pick them up" honda never heard of any bearings or anything for a shifter, plus the shop never ordered anything, and they say that the B&M should work as is......Which one is right? honda or the shop? do i need "bearings" for the B&M? if so i need to know what i need so i can get this **** rollin....
PLEASE HELP....Im confused.

There's a metal tube thing with I believe 4 O-rings that goes into the end of the shifter and a bolt goes through it and the change lever. If that's in decent shape, it can work fine on the B&M shifter, but it sometimes seizes in and can't be reused. The Honda shifter has two plastic sleeve things to let the metal tube turn easier or something, and they may have thought these were bearings. Aftermarket shifters don't have this. Some aftermarket shifters (like cheapy eBay ones) have ball bearings in the end of the shifter. If you have one of these, they could have thought you needed these.
