Default question about turn signals on a ef hatch

ok so i eliminated my stock cluster and the wiring harness that goes with it. but my question is this, can i still run separate lights for the signals without having to use the wiring harness that plugs into the stock cluster? meaning if i use 2 small led lights for the signals, and a separate yellow led for the cel can it be done without the harness or does the resistors tie into that harness and id have to hook it up and pin out the wires directly to the lights?

Resistors? It's just a circuit that gets completed for the idiot lights to work. You can do what you are asking.

how would i go about wiring it up? straight from the light itself or from the wiring under the dash?
