Skunk 2 Pro C's setup help please
I am currently rocking Skunk 2 Pro C full coilovers. There is a big event going on this weekend at my local track and I want to try to take full advantage of these. I don't have my car slammed but I will have to raise it back up for my slicks to fit. 25X8.7X13 M&H's. I am asking for help to set up my suspension which would be most efficient for me.
How high should I jack it up in the back, spring tension, and dampening.
What should the tension in the front be, and dampening be set at?
I have the stock spring that come on the Pro C's nothing special.
I tried using the search button.

For drag racing, I would think you want to keep weight on the front tires as much as possible. That means you would want:
Damping Front:
- rebound: full stiff
- compression: full soft
Damping Rear:
- rebound: full soft
- compression: full stiff
Ride heigth:
- Front low
- Rear very high
Spring rate:
- Front soft
- Rear very stiff
I don't know if your setup has all these adjustments, but ANY combination of these things should help. So do what you can.
BTW: I don't drag race, so perhaps someone with strip tuning experience can chime in.

Corner balancing your car will help make left & right turns feel the same. With drag racing, I doubt it would be worth the money at this point. It should help it stay straight on launch though.
No matter the form of racing every car should be corner weighted for proper suspension tuning, this includes cars that go in a straight line. It is quite significant especially those looking for every second. When you start getting to single digits numbers that is where suspension tuning and issues start to point its head out. You would be surprised how things get out of wack when you start adding roll cage, swap, and other major parts in a drag car no matter if it is for street or pure track.
I havn't seen your name on here in awhile bro, where you been?
It is effective, the scale on how effective it is, is different for everyone. That is why it is recommened to always get corner weighted after a coilover installation. That is simply the proper way to do it. We rarely do an install here where a customer does not get his car corner weighted and aligned at the same time. We typically charge 150.00 for corner weight service. The price can range anywhere from 100-300 dollars depending on the chassis and setup. Our rates are pretty affordable considering we have guys come down from Vancouver B.C. which is about 4 hours or so away up north. Our local customers usually take advantage of such services cause we usually give package deals for our local clients. Have a good weekend bud!

Well the only thing we do during an installation in regards to bushings is set the car fully down before we button it up so that the bushings are not loaded up. Everything it tightened while the car is on the ground. During a corner weight the only thing disconnected is swaybars, and then we go do our thing. Once we are finished with corner weighting the car the swaybar gets reconnected, the car is driven, and back to the shop to get the alignment is done. Driver is in the car during corner weight service.
Gotta run, enjoy your Friday, and the rest of your weekend.

Well I did what you guys said I went from a 1.9 60ft to an 1.6. Raising the rear and having the car raked helped a lot. Thanks for the help. Now on to the next prob blew out the clutch at the track this weekend gotta rip the tranny out, drop a G, and go with a twin disc. OUCH!
