Default flat face valves.?

so i ended up having 4 bent valves in my head and i orderd supertech valves for it and they sent me flat face valves instead of stock ones my question is i will be running a stock itr ecu to break it in and drive it for awhile will the flat valves effect the tune besides bumping my compresion more? i have a fuel pressure regulator and a wideband o2 setup so i will add fuel if needed to keep it running good
setup:
gsr block decked and .020 bored over
itr pistons on gsr rods arp rod bolts
gsr crank
gsr head deckd 3 angle valve job
itr cams
sk2 intake manifold
hondata im gasket
65mm throttle boddy
rc310cc injectors
supertech valve springs and retainers
supertech flat face valves took this from there ad i foudn on the valves online "Supertech high compression race valves are flat bottom which increase compression by 0.3-0.5 points. The valves have a black nitride coating which reduces friction at high rpms."

iknow i need to tune this setup but will it be safe to drive it around town not beating on it till i get my basemap setup for a street tune?

if your wideband shows that you are in the safe zone for part throttle and wide open throttle then I dont see why you cant drive it around.

So the valves raise comp by .03-.05 and with itr pistons and a gsr head that should be around 11.4:1 i'm guessing so it should be fine plus the knock sensor should keep it from detonating

11.4 isn't anything too far from the jdm itr's compression..It will be fine..

JDM ITR's are 11.1
JDM GSR's are 10.6

Depending on milling, head used, valves, pistons it will depend. If he's using a stock usdm itr ecu, then he's almost a full point increase in compression.

Knock sensors only do so much.. if you need a basemap that bad, contact me.

GSR Block/rods/head
JDM ITR pistons
3layer HG
flat valves
NO MILLING puts you at around 11.5.. even if you get it resurfaced it might bump it up.. just be werey..

it was decked .040 from what i was told i touched the compression calculator and it put me at 12.3:1 :/ can i double stack head gaskets to bring the compression down?
heres the stuff fromt he cpr site

static compression ratio:12.37:1
effctive compression ratio: 12.32:1
displacement:1797.37cc's
piston to deck height is: -0.014 is that bad?

i did some simple math and if i double stack the 3 layer gaskets i will be at 11.4:1 compression i think this is gunna be my soulution i dont want that high of a cpr for a street car

NOTE: these were done without accounting in the amount added with the flat face valves*

you are going through a big headache. Just get a partial tune on the car (if you can't afford a full tune). Just because you adjust fuel does not mean that the car will be safe. Timing also plays a part in tunning. You have a lot of changes on the car for leaving a stock map. You are playing with fire IMO and I def suggest a tune over doing more and more mechanical work to the car to try and adjust it in a dirka dirk way lol

damn i thought this thread was over lol ok i messed up on my math and i figured it all out im at 11.6:1 compression with a stock 3 layer gasket the car will be tuned asap i just wanted to know if it would be safe to run for alittle while because i havent put the chip kit into my ecu yet but it will be tuned asap thanks for your concern
