I must be too old, because that car looks silly. The wheels look like they were installed backwards. And I'd guess you'd need a hemorrhoid cushion on your head to protect yourself from the inevitable head-slams into the roof when going over lost coins in the road, etc.

Aside from the modifications to that car and your exhortation to vacate the premises, the 1980 Corolla was sort of significant for two reasons:
1) It was the only year the Corolla was ever sold with quad-round headlamps.
2) The '80-'83 generation was available in six body-styles (the 4-door wagon being one of them), more than any other Corolla generation before or since.
I had two TE72 Liftbacks, an '81 and an '82. The Liftback was an interesting design, being more of a sporty 2-door wagon than a hatchback. It was more in the spirit of a Chevy Nomad, the 2-door Chevelle wagons from the '60s, or a Ford Pinto wagon. If I didn't live in Rust Country, I'd replace my Integra with another one. When I do finally replace the 'Teg, that is...
"Gtfo"? I must be old: I had to look that up to see what it meant. Well I love you too.
