Match porting...how beneficial? and light sanding on the ports?
I'm getting ready to change my timing belt and water pump.I am also ordering up all of the seals and gaskets for the head. I figured since I will have all of my **** off, I might as well match port the intake manifold and I was considering a light sanding on the intake and exhaust ports, just enough to add a little smoothness. I am no machinist, so I don't plan on getting crazy with it. NOw here are my questions:
1) Is mild sanding on the ports beneficial at all?
2) How much do I sand down?
3) What is expected of doing both the sanding and the match porting(hp, tq, throttle response)?
4) Is there a place where I can order the butterfly for the throttle body if I take it to a local machine shop and have them bore it out slightly?
Thanks guys...I'm still figuring out how to do all of this and I want to make sure I do it right.

Some is better than none - remeowing casting imperfections is good - just don't go crazy. Using a Dremeowel is the easiest way.
