B16 in the 8's? (1/8th mile)
Going to the track saturday to try and improve my times. My best time so far has been a 9.2 1/8th. This was done in Florida in 90 degree heat. Now i'm in Kentucky and the temp is 70 degrees, plus i'm running Drag radials this time.
Question is, has anyone with just bolt-on's on a B16 in a EG run 8's in the 1/8th mile? In the 1/4 that should be a 14.1 or so.
Just wondering if I can have a claim to something if I run a 8

i'd say that's pretty darn quick. most guys who race at the local 1/8th here in VA run low 9s w/ GSR swaps. my friend who used to have a 00 type R w/ IHE and cams ran a best of 9.11, but again, our track blows. but go for it matt..
Your track blows? Ours gets shut down when the dirt circle track blows dust on the drag strip durning a demolition derby
.
Yeah I guess I'll see what happens. Hoping for 8's but anything better than my last run I'll be happy with! Time to go strip the car I guess...

What were your mods and car?
I just got back from the track. The track was very slick and with the drag radials I only managed a 2.17 60ft. Still I ran a 9.1 at 78mph which I was very happy with! Based on that I should be at a 14.3 or 14.2 now
