Hey guys Im starting my first painting project this weeked I will be posting up some picks soon. I have a few questions. The story goes i got a hood off a car that was gonna be junked it was an older integra hood. It was orginally painted black and when I got it the clear coat was peeling. I plan on spraying it blue,pictures will be coming soon. My questions is how soon after spraying it with fresh paint can i resand it and spray it again. Like i said this is my first project and I know practice makes perfect I plan on spraying it and resanding and spraying it again over and over again untill im happy with the results. So can I spray it and 24 hours later resand it or is that to close together.

 

It depends on the conditions and cure time of the paint you use. Its generally on paint can. But i would say 4 hours minimum. And WETSAND and then clean surface and then repaint.

I usually wait till the next morning, but only cause I get pissed and give up for the day ha. Not so much anymore, but still.
