f23 swap 95 accord no start - who has swapped one??
as the topic says i just put a 01 f23 accord longblock in one of my 94 accord ex's. JUST the longblock. i re-used the f22b1 initake manifold, dizzy, injectors, ecu etc. it cranks fine just wont start. my aem rail has a autometer fuel pressure gauge that reads 42psi so it seems to have fuel.
its been a while since i swapped a motor and i remember on my civics i always forgot the ground strap for the fuel... i dont know if this applies but i have looked and looked and nothing seems to be missing. my tps and map are NOT switched so im stumped..
there are two things i can think of that i have yet to check.. the f23 has the ckp sensor by the crank while the f22b1 has it in the dizzy, but im using the f22b1 dizzy so this SHOULDNT b a prob.
the other thing is some sort of fuel rail/intake manifold ground wire i have missed. can someone confirm this or not? i smell fuel but when i pull the injectors they are dry and dont seem to smell strongly or at all of fuel..
as usual thanks in advance h-t

harness connected yes.. but that may be what im looking for-u said ground connected to LEFT side of IM right?? i looked and looked there to no avail. can you b more specific as to where it bolts up?? and i could of swore i saw what looked like a spot for a ground to be hooked up on the RIGHT side of the im. literally the right rear side corner.. please let me know thanks
damn no one?? 87 views and nothing?? i got fuel air and spark and everything worked before i swapped longblocks. do i need to run wiring to the ckp sensor as well on the crank even tho my dizzzy should take care of that?? and whats up with melting ground wires??
the ckp sensor being at the crank vs the dizzy is your prob. You have to use the same setup that the motor/ECU was built with.
well i have grounded and ran wires to the ckp sensor and even wired the f23 dizzy in and still same ****. just cranks, acts like it is gonna start but doesnt

there are a total of 8 wires between the f23 dizzy and the sensor down by the crank. the f22b1 dizzy and plugs have 9 wires, there is a blue/yellow wire that is left over. i have looked at pinouts and some colors dont match up
using this wiring diagram i have one wire left over - the thick black wire with yellow stripe. and this is using the f23 dizzy that came with the motor
The distributor conversion wiring is as follows:
* OBDII -----------> OBDI--------> function
* Black...............Blue/Yellow........CKP M
* Red................White/Blue..........TDC M
* White.................WHITE............CYP M
* Blue.............Blue/Green..........CKP P
* Green............Orange/Blue...........TDC P
* Yellow...............Orange..............CYP P
* Yellow/Green.....Yellow/Green..........ICM
* Green...............Green..............ICM
it cranks, i pull the plugs and they have fuel and my fuel gauge on the aem rail reads 40psi. so i have no clue and im getting really annoyed. at first it was clear that using the f22b1 dizzy would work. then i figured i oculd just wire the 4 wire connector from the crank to the dizzy wiring but that aint workin either. so i tried wiring the f23 dizzy and that isnt working either and i have that damn black/yellow wire left over. any ideas would be great

well after 2 weeks of non stop working on this car it still will not start. turns over no start. i have WEAK spark. i have tried 3 different distributors, coils and ignitors and switched them all around as well. i am sol and i need this car moved so i can build my k24/k20 eg racecar. i have even tried different main relays. i have NOT tried a differenmt ecu. all my grounds are good - three grounds right?? any input please!!!! i still have weak spark and that seems to be the issue
