I have a ef hatch dx, and I'm 6`4. I was wondering what is the best seat option that will drop me and sit me back farther. I have a good deal on some del sol seats just wondering if there is anything lower.

Why is it you need the seat lower? I am 6'6" and I fit completely fine... Unless you have a tall haircut?

 

Hmm interesting. I had S2000 seats in my old CRX, the actual part that supported the booty seemed to sit a lot lower than stock CRX seats or than the Recaros I also had.

 

I have my seat all the way back reclined at a 45. My head is like half a inch from roof and knees mid way up stearing wheel. I fit my butt sits way to high, I wanna be lower. I heard del sol seats sit way low, just looking for other solutions.

You can be the same height but the torso could be a little bit longer cause that is how mine is and I can see where you would need a different seat cause that is what I would like to do.

 

Go with the Del Sols. I guess this is one advantage to being super short. I have miles of head room haha.

 

Just swapped in del sol seats in my 89 crx si and they are defenitly higher then stock si seats, just more comfortable

DA teggy seats sit low.

 

Use those seats... Using the other ones will require a seat pan swap to sit at the same height as stock... I also have about that much clearance - eh, oh well gotta die sometime.

I have an '88 HF and my 6'3 boyfriend complains about fitting in the car as well! But as I understand it he '88 seats/rails are different so I'm basically out of luck besides a pan swap.

Hell, I can't even manage to find one good blue seat to replace the driver seat. I'm even willing to make a hybrid using passenger seat parts. Can't find one at all.

 

i have some 94 prelude seats and they sat way low in my hatch ...theyre a bit wide though imo

 

im 6'4 and i fit fine. proly cause im only 190lbs lol. my knees hit the steering wheel so i swapped out the stock one for a smaller aftermarket

 

I have the same problem at 6'3". My head rides on the roof and my knees are in the dash/steering wheel. Good luck with another set of seats. I wanted to remove the rails and bolt the seat to the floor pan but since my brother drives the car some the seat has to be able to move.

 

I don't think you will be able to buy anything bolt in, that will actually get you lower. You probably have to fabricate something on this one.

I have personally tried del sol and rsx seats and they sit higher.

Most aftermarket race setups even with low rails are still about the same height.

Check this post. One guy removed the brace and bolted the seat directly to the floor.

I did a pan swap with 90 DA seats in my 89 STD hatch. The seat foam from the DA actually sits much lower into the pan than the original. I am about 6'6 as well, I have plenty of head room now and sit with the seat reclined one click back. Also, I bought a smaller wheel so no more knee-to-wheel issues lol

 

bhahahaha funny thing i think my car is set up for tall ppl cuz i got recaros enjoy which sit low and a 280mm momo hahhaha

but hey you should get a smaller steering wheel and da seats you should be fine

 

Im 6 5 and i have seats out of a 89 teggy in my hatch and i fit fine.. granted im 185lbs soaking wet... doesnt help if you are a bigger guy

 

Hey Tear I a large man and I wanted to know with the lude seats do you get more adjustment front and back?

 

the way mine are positioned you definitely can go back further not so sure about foreward though
