Just bought this car and was hoping for some suggestions on what I should do with it. Im a first time owner so any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

 

Build a nice super fuel-economy car, then rub it in the faces of hybrid owners.

 

engine swap and turbo, lots of boost and some drag slicks.

 

clean it... fix rust.. new wheels.. drop it... have fun

 

Thanks for the Ideas. Now to decide if I want to go fuel efficient or drag car. Either way it should be a fun project.

 

how many miles on it?? is it original or has someone modified it?
do regular maintenance stuff first...the car will thank you. look in the owners manual or haynes to see what should have been done, if the seller didn't do them already. then fix the rust. then just look around, everything has been done to these cars. decide what's right for you.
big difference between saving gas and hauling a$$, you need to have a goal in mind. good luck!

 

Replace everything that is rubber.

 

Its got a d15b7 swap in it out of a 95 delsol with unknown miles. The body has 190,000 on it. Did all basic maintenance and even put a new timing belt and water pump as well as all new top-end seals and gaskets. Another option I have is dropping in a B18 i have that came with it.

 

b18 turbo bro boost it.

 

Fix rust before it gets worse and then do some research and choose for yourself not to be mean but that is the point of a build that it is what you want it to be not what someone else tells you what to do.

On a side note the car looks great

 

are you sure its an hf? ive never seen one with a sunroof. I could just be an idiot though.

I coated all the rust with rust protection solution until i can address it, which will be very soon. As for now im just going to look around at what others have done and go from there. Turbo sounds pretty good!

As for the sunroof, I have no clue if its aftermarket, if so it was a pro install as it looks factory. Looks nice though.

Also does anyone know how I can figure out EXACTLY what motor is in this car. I would like to be sure im buying correct parts for it. Sorry, I know its a noob question.

the engine stamp is left of the exhaust manifold on the block, near the transmission. you may have to clean off some grime to see it. it should say D15 or D16 something.
