Default V band on turbo Cold side 4"

Anyone welded a 4" vband on the intake side of a turbo? Were looking for ideas to secure an air box directly to the turbo.

people do this all the time. you can either use a regular v-band, or a Wiggens Clamp, but since this isn't pressure sensitive air, i wouldn't waste my money on the Wiggens

Don't see the point in a Vband for this, a regular coupler and worm clamps would be fine.

On the subject, What boost pressure are the aluminum V-Bands with the O-Rings good for. I know the Wiggins are like 250plus psi . How about a Regular Aluminum V-Band with a O-Ring. Might be a good option in some cases. They look nice, are functional and cost alot less.

The purpse of the vband and not wiggins or regular clamp is because the weight of the air box needs to be supported by the turbo housing, and the close distance between were the box starts and the turbo housing is ill need to cut part of the housing back make room.

The problem with Vbands are they are solid mounts, so using them on IC tubing could cause stress and cracks down the road with the vibrations and movement if used 100%. This is were the wiggins clamps I think work the very best.
