96 Accord gears grinding sound @ Low RPM's
Ive got a 96 accord f22 non vtec with 5spd manual tranny and when i drive it at low rpms it makes a god awful grinding noise like the gears are grinding but at higher rpms it doesnt do it at all
for another example im driving slow and go from first to second at like 15 and go to speed up and it grinds untill i get to a high rpm like 2000-3000
i just replaced the tranny fluid and i used syncromesh because ive heard its good and thought it would help but it doesnt change
does anyone know anything to do
ive heard to drain a quart and put in 80w-90 with the syncromesh and it will help but i want a second oppinion

the synchros are inside the transmission. However, you could try to drain and fill your transmission and it might be a temporary fix. Cheaper than replacing or rebuilding it. Just do that and see if it will work.
I think mine did the same thing as well on my F22B1 trans I had back in the day. Sounds like there's a loose metal ball bouncing around on the inside of the trans case when I'm in 2nd gear doing a right turn. You can hear it, but it's long gone now that I have a different trans.
