Does anyone know if there is an oil seal in the distributor on the EJ1?

I have this super annoying oil leak around the distributor and replacing the oring on the distributor shaft did not help. I even covered it with Honda bond and it didn't even slow down the leak at all.

 

I did some more research on the distributor on the Bernardi Honda parts website. I cannot see where there is a oil seal on the distributor.

We have had this car in the family since new. Before I rebuilt the engine this summer, it looked like the distributor had been leaking for years.

I should probably do a build thread.

 

There IS an oil seal on the distributor, call your local dealership.

 

Nice looking car, I had one identical last summer. Got 50 mpg with her till my mechanic blew up the engine.
Why don't you just pull the dizzy off and take a look though. I'm sure there is a seal or O-ring there. I'd call a honda parts counter, and order one. Probably cost 20 bucks lol, but well worth it not leaking. Good luck
