anybody if the civic type r wing or other ctr wing style will fit a regular ep3-was told it will not but i see in the picture thread several peeps having mugen and ctr wings-let me know want to trade in my stock ep3 wing

 

lol ep3 usdm wings are whatever anyway

if you buy the HFP wing for ep3 it will fit just fine but if you get the JDM wing which is from CTR you need to shave the bottom of it cause the hatch of JDM are a lil smaller than USDM
and some are replicas
its a good upgrade for the car cause the smaller si wing looks very stupid to me

if you have a usdm get the hfp

if you have a type r then you probably have the type r wing alrdy

 

Well the JDM EP3 CTR wing will not fit unless you cut it a little bit. The USDM and JDM hatches are made differently, with notches for the JDM ones that the USDM doesnt have. If you want a CTR wing, it's best to get a replica CF one or a fiberglass one. A lot of places sell the USDM replicas like www.showstoppersusa.com. Mainly only 3 wings are available unless you make a custom one. Type R, Mugen, and HFP... or stock if you want to count that one.

 

like i said...get the hfp wing or a replica

theres no point in finding a real type r wing and making it fit your usdm ep3
it'd be too much work and it wouldnt look any different.

thats nice, but I thought the HFP wing was discontinued? And the one I saw forsale was 350! Not even in the my color.. You can find a type-r wing cheaper then a HFP, and sanding down isnt expensive.. find a used or new replica seems to be the cheapest..maybe im wrong.

 

Yeah getting the real Type R wing is useless because no one can really tell the difference when its on the car. Theres no badge or anything on them. The HFP is discontinued yes but theres always someone selling them. The fiberglass Type R reps go for like 150~ if I remember correctly. And is overall cheaper is you get a deal on paint.
