Default Gauge Face Bubbling

2006 Honda 919

5,xxx miles

So I was on the bike the other day and just noticed this. Never really saw anything like this before and the bike is garaged when not ridden. It's out of warranty and a replacement would cost an arm and a leg so I'm not sure what to do about it. I'm afraid of it continuing.

Yikes. Come post this on wrist twisters with the other Hornet owners.

sunlight is harsh on stuff man

On a real not though, it is probably from the aluminum not being 100% clean before they coated it and it is oxidizing. Most gauge faces are coated aluminum on bikes.
