I recently bought my beloved EF a few weeks ago. The guy told me it was throwing a cel code 8. The tdc sensor, which is inside the distributor. Well I replaced the distributor today and same damn thing happens. It was slowly cranking but not turning over.
I also discovered I had a bad battery and my starter was shot so I replaced both.
Now the engine does the cranking much much faster and almost turns over but still doesnt.
I have spark and I can hear the fuel pump whining when I turn the car on.

Anyone have any ideas? I spent wayy too much money today for it not to run. Idk what else it could be. Im going to replace the ignition fuse under the hood because it looks as if it melted. Any help would be great. Also the car isn't throwing any codes anymore.

 

how is your fuel pressure? even if you heaR the pump, your filter may be old, or numerous other problems up untill the injectors.
