Alright before i take it to a mechanic id love to get yallses input on possible problem solvers... i have a 1990 crx that was in a shed not running for 3 years and brought it out and brought life into it... Well sorta. i have replaced the fuel pump, dumped the old gas ran 10 full tanks of gas through it, one had a fuel injector cleaner in it, did a tune up, replaced the distributor and all of its components, and the fuel filter. so she cranks and runs but the car is idle hunting. no check engine lights on and i cleaned the iacv and no change. She will also drop the rpms so low in the middle of accelerating that the engine shuts off. The rpms sometimes when you rev come down really slow and sometimes stay at 1700. any suggestions?

 

My CRX was doing this same stuff right before I put her in longterm storage 4 years ago. I'm curious what is causing this to your car because it seems like you and I have the same issue.

 

maybe its something bad internals wise?
its hard to say.
could be that your fuel injectors are off?
or timing?
idk.
there could be endless problems that are small.

 

Timing might be off. My idle bounces and goes really low and sometimes dies at lights and i just discovered im off a tooth. or it could be the tps? Ignition timing? Idle screw?

 

You have multiple problems it sounds like

Timing is off and the accel problem could be your tps sensor like stated above
