Default 2003 LX can't figure out at all

I just had my timing belt and water pump changed in my 2003 LX and I drove it for 50 miles just fine. Everything was great, drove fine. Then out of nowhere it's like the car will miss, or almost feel like the transmission slipped. I didn't have time to change the belt myself, now I wish I would have. What is the possible problems and easiest checks before pulling it apart to check if it's lined up. And what is the consequences of driving it to work another 3 days until I can get to fixing anything. Thanks for reading, hope u can help!

I'd take it back and have them look at it. There's no sense in paying to have something done, if they're not going to stand behind their work.

It's a standard. I had to drive the car 2 miles today to work and I didn't have a problem at all. Then after being there for 2 hours then leaving to go home, the check engin light immediately came on and started flashing the whole way home with the car "missing" horribly and sputtering around. The car is parked until I get it back to the mechanic tomorrow. Any ideas of what it is?

Flickering/flashing MIL is indicative of a misfire.

There are a number of possibilities, but I do think it's best that you return to the shop who performed the work. Inspection and correction should be free of cost to you.

From researching my daughters troubles on her Civic..the wire to a sensor under the timing cover could have gotten pinched and it has now worn through or the belt might have gotten loose.

I would not drive it ONE FOOT!

it could be they pinched a wire with the valve cover and i have also seen on rare occasions after replacing the timing belt and not replacing the spark plugs will cause the car to run like it is missing. what changes exactly, i dont know i have even asked this question to our engineers from honda and they dont know it just happens very rarely. also make sure the ignition coils are plugged in correctly
