Well, I never have thought I would be one of the many to post up a deal gone sour thread, but in my recent purchase it went bit sour to say the least.

Here’s the run down…

- Lurking through ebay and found his 1 piece sir wing and sent him a private message with an offer of $150.
- He then texted me couple hours later asking of my location and I replied back CA. He then offered me $175 shipped for the wing.
- I didn’t really want to pay that much for an sir wing, but knowing it was 1 piece spoiler it made me think and SELLER assured me that the wing is in MINT shape and free of any damage. SO I made him a counter offer and we settled at $170 shipped paypal as a gift. YAY! Done deal! MONEY sent! Aug 11, 2011. (apologies! sent him $175 instead via paypal)
- He was supposed to ship the wing in a day or two as we agreed, BUT he ended up shipping the wing on Aug 19, 2011 (YES! Over a week after payment was made, but it was ok since he told me he had some emergency, so no big deal) He shipped it through usps parcel post with confirmation and that was perfectly fine. Estimated delivery date was Aug 25, 2011.
- Delivery date comes and no spoiler at my parents house. No big deal! I notified the seller that the spoiler wasn’t delivered as stated delivery date. SO Aug 26th. 27th came around and still no spoiler was delivered. OK at this time, I was bit worried! AGAIN I notified the seller again about the situation, but out of nowhere his response to me was very unprofessional manner telling me off (I have detailed text but I’ll skip that part) because I have told him that I will file a claim if I don’t receive anything in another WEEK! Damn I’m nice! WELL, it 2 days late what do you expect? Right!? It’s just natural for buyers to get worried @ this very moment!
- moving forward – The wing was finally delivered at my parents house on Aug 28th and quickly received a text from seller that it was delivered! COOL!
- I picked up the wing the following day Aug 29th and I have to say it was very well packed with bubble wrap and all. I inspected the wing and come to find out that the plastic piece that holds the led lights are broken. SO meaning to say this wing has a defect! THE **** *** that I am I quickly contacted the seller and notified him about the issue.
- SELLER was very aggravated and wouldn’t want to work anything out with the issue. (I have every single text message, but ill skip that part)
- It left me with no choice, but to file a claim with paypal. Aug 29th a claim was filed. IT’S now on paypals hand.

- This type of issue can be simply worked out without having someone else getting involved, but I guess seller left me no choice.

IT’S REALLY NOT THE MONEY, BUT THE PRINCIPLE!!!

I stated it's mint because it is "compared to any wing I've ever gotten" and has Zero dents, deep scratches, or broken corners.

I had the wing for sale only because I got another one that matched my paint better.

I used it for 6months, it's the best condition wing I've ever gotten. I've bought about 5 in the last 3yrs. They're always dented, scratched, broken corner tips, etc...

He paid me $175 shipped. I paid $330 shipped for this wing 6months ago. I'm not out to rip people off. If you ever saw anything I've had for sale, you'd notice I drop my prices to literally nothing and give people very good deals.

It took me a week to ship it because of things going on. He was okay with that, which was nice.

I packed it Extremely well. As I know after buying so many they get beat to hell in the mail.

I got to the post office and was about to ship it parcel post as I had planned already... but out of being nice, I text him and asked if he'd rather send me a few extra bucks and he could have me ship it for the much more expensive/faster priority mail instead,, he says. "no, I paid $175 shipped."

so,, Fine. I shipped it Parcel Post. From Arkansas to California.

Anyone who ships stuff knows parcel post is Never on time, and is always way unpredictable for across country shipping.

I gave him the shipping estimated arrival date.

That estimated date (Thursday) came and he said it hadn't arrived. I was Not surprised.
He then out of the blue says he's filing a claim with paypal.

It literally blows my mind that he says this. I explain,,, Parcel Post is slow, and even slower and unpredictable, miscalculated, and late the further the shipment destination is.

After talking back and fourth he agrees to wait a week before starting a claim.

whew... gosh, that sucked I thought to myself. What a weirdo. Is he 12yrs old or something or just plain dumb.

Anyhow, two days pass. I check the delivery confirmation number online. It was delivered at noon on Saturday. whew... finally. Deal done. hurray.


*Nope. two days later I get text message from him saying the led light is "loose" and "tabs" are broken.

I told him, honestly, I had no idea, I had never noticed, nor heard a rattle or had any problems with it.

Apparently the "broken tabs" create a small "gap" in between the led light housing and the aluminum.

I told him sorry, I had no idea. Can you just put some silicon in that gap and hold it shut for a minute, and it will be fixed?

"no" he says. "I'm **** about my parts." "I won't use this"

I want my money back.

I was like, dude, you saw the pics. You saw that little "gap" your talking about. I wasn't trying to hide anything. It's exactly as in the pics.

I even explained that if he's so "****" about his parts that he should think about what he's doing here. That he has a very nice wing in his hands that needs some silicon in a gap to be perfect. and that going to buy another wing he will most likely find crappy beat up ones many times before finding another nice one like mine.

Nope. he doesn't want it. says he won't even install it.
(which he DOES)

At this point I'm fed up. First whining about parcel post. Then nit picking about a really nice wing for a even nicer price.

AND... he won't even just fix it and call it good.

So I told him. F#@& off. I had Enough.

So he files a claim. fine. no big deal.

I actually talked with him the next day, saying he'll most likely Win the claim and to please just pack it very well like I had it so it doesn't get ruined and cause any more problems, I just want this hell to be over with. I hate transactions like this. This is the worst one I've ever had. It's not even me, it's the buyer.

Fine he says. no problem. He'll even put insurance on it like I had done for him.

I thought we were back on the same page..

NOPE. he posts this huge thread our deal on the SALES FEEDBACK area.

He put in the title my FULL NAME. and then screen name.

I was unaware of it until another member I talk w/ often brought it to my attention.

I was pissed. I could not believe he is trying to ruin my reputation and slander my name.

Most of all that my full name is on the title. or used at all.

That is garbage. You should never post someones personal info for everyone else to see. It should not even be Allowed on this forum.

So of course I post his info to get "even" sort of.... I'd rather none of anyone's personal info be at grabs for everyone.

It makes me sick to my stomach that anyone can have access to my full name because of this loser.

so in the future. I will post AS IS.

And make it clear to anyone without common sense, that when a USED part is called MINT. it's not Brand new. Maybe Mint compared to any other of that same used part.

If you ever sell anything to this guy. Be careful. Don't do what I did

 

oh, and by the way, I am communicating with paypal right now about your "not able to install wing claim"

with this thread of yours showing you installed it,,, I may even win my case LOL!!!!!

and, to the OP: I can see the "gap" of which you speak in the pictures on the eBay listing. unfortunately, while you may not like it, there was no attempt to conceal this condition in the listing. it arrived in the condition as seen in the photos. my sympathies tend to lie with the seller (irrespective of his potty-mouth post above), and that this is a difficult lesson in Caveat emptor.

I don't like getting in the middle of these things so I consider this to be my only contribution to this thread and will not be replying further.

- No one would've known of the broken tabs by just looking at the pics. (if I didn't mention it, you wouldn't know)
- The seller guaranteed me that the wing was in mint condition! (again I have detailed text to all of this)

sure. Was a very pleasant transaction. I packed it extremely well, I know how bad it sucks to receive something that "was" in great shape, and then got ruined in the mail. That's how cool I am.

then the first bump, you started in on the parcel post being 2 days late and crying about that.

I've never in my life of selling/buying online w/ paypal have ever met someone so dramatic about slow parcel post shipping. Childish, immature, uncalled for.

I've already talked to paypal. if it's got paint chips/ scratches etc. from being used, and not in the same identical condition,

I get to call them when I receive it and they yank the money back from your refund.
