okay, i'll give info on my k20 swap.
originally purchased from N1 and swap into a EG that was a show car.
of course like any other honda owners, they dogged it in in several occasions.
he lost interest in the EG because he won an award at a show.
his eg has been sitting in his garage for a few months then a friend of mine bought the whole care from original builder/owner. my friend drove it for less than a week and couldn't handle the attention from the cops. the eg was packed with j's parts and loud.
then there comes me, my friend was originally going to swap the K into his ek but never got around to it and also didn't want to deal with smog.
i bought the longblock, tranny and header. it was incomplete to crap.
it was a shady deal. order my mounts, took way longer than expected.
waited for the original owner to "find" me the throttle body and other little stuff.
so i waited for too long and lost interest. got the K in, started it and tried driving it around the block and couldn't rev past 4,000 rpms. had a cel, tried fixing it but just gave up.
CLIFFS:
-bought it from a show car
-parts took too long to come
-no more money to make it streetable (crx parts only, NOT motor)
-Lost interest because of the wait
-motor was ran less than 100 miles
looking for quick sale so i can get started on my crx.
plans for the rex
-chop my frame and weld tranny mount back on
-get new rear subframe
-all harness
-motor
-windshield
-hood
this would go over my budget and it's just best to sell it and move on.
