Default 89 sedan wire tuck, 5speed swap. help

Used the da pedal only problem I had was the hole on the gas pedal other then that it went right in. I have ran into a bit of a problem now I don't have a hole to run the clutch cable can anyone help me out on where I can put it? And i have a6 bottom z6 head combo motor to put in, do I need to get a z6 ecu and jumper harness or what?

Try this link for your clutch cable.
https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/need-run-my-clutch-cable-2829344/
although most people will just use the hole with the black cap in it with success - a little boring out with a drill or whatever to get the cable to slide through.

There are a few options for your ECU, but to make it easy and keep it clean then I would suggest you go with the Z6 ECU and convert to OBD1 (use the Z6 distributor, 4 wire O2 sensor, and OBD0-to-OBD1 jumper harness).

Don't forget that if you use the Z6 injectors you don't use a resistor box and if you use the A6 injectors you do need the resistor box.

Thanks man appreciate it ill check out that link. It's all z6 up on the head so ill most likely do the ecu and jumper. Can I use the z6 engine harness as well instead of running multi point wires all over

DPFI to MPFI is 4 additional wires.
2 more wires for your auto-to-manual swap (reverse lights)
http://nzhondas.com/tech-help/78416-...to-manual.html

If you want to do it REALLY clean you can get a complete engine harness from RyWire.
$$$
Question is, how often are you going to be popping your hood to stare at your wires?

i got it to turn over, but the only way it will turn over is if i bump the starter with a screwdriver the ignition wont turn the car over, any ideas? only code im throwing is 21 something about vtec. pump is kicking on for fuel. not to sure on my spark yet. but i havent gotten any fault codes for it. (ground the thermostat to any bare metal right?)

The spring is only on 92+ hondas. Did you by any chance mix up the 2 white wires?

i dont think so i can check tho
i know i had a blue green or blue yellow one of them i had but the other one wasnt there. if that makes sense. on the write up it asked for both of them to be ran to c1 c2 i ran a solid blue one with the other one so i could of prolly have that wrong? im not exactly sure **** is so old the colors dont even look like real colors anymore alot of fading.

i have a a6 bottom z6 head on it. so shouldnt i need the spring? or how would i go about finding out what dizzy is on it as of now

appreciate the help man
things been a nightmare.

Its difficult to 5 speed swap an 88-89. The 90-91s already had the clutch cable support bracket with a plug in the "tunnel" where the clutch cable should run. I had to take that bracket out of a 91 sedan and put it into my 89 sedan. The black plug in this pic is not the same as the plug in the 90-91s as (notice the plug is not in a clutch cab1e tunnel and is behind the fuel lines so 1 it doesnt line up with the clutch pedal and 2 you wouldnt want to puncture the fuel lines

look at one of the mounting tabs where it bolts to the head there will be a stamping number such as:
TD02U
TD41U

technically on a z6 head you should have a TD42U. but either the TD41 and TD42 will work. they both have slightly different bolt patterns. TD42U is for sohc vtec head. my guess is for you to still go over your wiring. and make sure you have the correct firing order and the screw on the rotor is still on nice n tight.

yes. since you have an obd1 distributor you should have a small spring that attaches to your coil and then to the distributor cap.

get a spring from a retractable pen. that spring is needed to send spark to the wires then the spark plugs. with out it it wont run.

It's possible because you have ben cranking the motor and draining the battery
