Default Drag Racing Wheel options for 4th Gen. Prelude VTEC.

Are my choices limited to a 15" rim? It seems as if anything smaller will NOT clear the stock Prelude VTEC brakes, since the brakes already fill up the 15" stock wheels.

At the tracks, I see Civic's using Lenso Drag Racing rims, but I believe they are only available in 13" sizes.

Any suggestions?

you said DRAG Racing....

If your serious enough, downgrade to prelude SI brakes with the smaller rotors and calipers, and 13-14" wheels should fit..

13" wont fit over si brakes...

14" isn't enough difference to make it worth the effort

so just find a lightweight 15" wheel

I have a pair of M/T ET Drag 22.0-8.0/15.

Wheels, I don't have. I'm trying to find a light 15" wheel that I can swap between my Prelude and Civic. Suggestions?

let me know if you want to go with those.

Very interested in those Bogarts.

Please post more info regarding price, pics, and weight specs. And also, if these have to be "custom" made, how soon before I see them? Next drag event is on Oct. 12th. Trying to get a few 1/4 mile runs w/slicks before the season is over.

Most likely will be going with the 15x7 size, worried about clearance issues on the Civic. As long as I can use them for both the Prelude and Civic, I'm in for it.

15 inch ROTA C8's. cheap, lightweight, and come in universal 4X100 and 4X114 bolt patern.
but i'm sure there are many drag racing wheels out there. try WELD racing wheels.
i know they make drag wheels.

the bogart 15x8 Drag on fly star are going to run about $249 each and will take about 2-3 weeks.

Its even worse for Import sizes on the WELD, those are about 3-4 months.

"custom" for Bogart drag wheels means, they have to be made from scratch, starting from a flat piece of aluminum and shaped and polished, etc. they dont have them "in stock" and ready to go, they are all made to order.
We do order the popular sizes for immediate delivery, but the prelude lug pattern and sizing is not sumthing they have on hand.. ever.

Oh no, I was hoping on finding something IN STOCK, so that I get by the end of this coming week. But I guess that won't be possible. Guess the slicks will just have to sit around until next year.

Thanks for the info regarding the Bogarts. I won't get them now, because that'll be pointless. Until spring.

By the way, I can get them made to have a universal 4 bolt pattern, right?

yes you can get it made to the bolt pattern that you need.

I'll take pictures of the facility next time to show you guys how the process starts. They all start as unpolished, ugly blanks that are then polished, center portion added and custom bolt pattern CNC' mahcined.

A few more questions regarding those Bogarts:

Will they need extended wheel studs? Are special lug nuts required?

Pictures would be awesome.

Thanks.

Bogart RAcing wheels require longer lug studs and special Lug nuts.
