hey everyone, when i press the gas a little too hard my motor like shakes, or the tranny, it goes into every gear fine, runs fine but it feels as if the motor is shaking around. kinda like moving, anybody know the problem so i can figure it out so i know what i have to fix so i dont spend my money on what it might not be. PLEASE help me lol. i just want to drive my car again. the swap was done like 11 years ago, maybe that will help u for an awnser haha, thanks very much-vin

 

It runs fine? not rough at all? What about if you accelerate quickly?

 

Need alot more info than that. What trim, year, what motor and tranny? resent upgrades?

 

Take it to a mechanic. Oh and don't check your engine mounts.

 

Are we talking about a Peterbuilt conventional or Freightliner cabover? Are you running green or red diesel?

 

is a 96 ek coupe, full b16a2 tranny and motor swap, and why not check the motor mounts?

and recently i had a 70mm throttle body put in but i dont think that would be it. i was thinking its the motor mounts

yea thats what i was thinking, how much would it cost for a mechanic to just check it out and see if that is exacly what it is, i dont wanna risk taking my car 20 mins away to my reg. mechanic becuase i dont wanna drive that far with it like this, would it be ok to go to any mechanic?

Check the rear, driver's side, and transmission mounts, as well as both torque mounts.

 

wat should i look for, like what should i see if its like broken( im very sry but im a 17 y.o. straight noob lmao) and wait this kid said i dont have transmission mounts haha, is this true?

 

Are the bolts tight? Are the rubber cushions damaged?

You definitely need a transmission mount.
