hi i am new on this site and i am needing some help.sorry if i posted in the wrong section i am new here but looks like a very good site.
ok i have a stock 85 honda prelude with a 1.8 single cam motor,i am racing it on dirt track,i am having some issues with not enough horse power i am only able to hit 2nd gear its a 1/4 mile track and i tried to go into 3rd but as soon as i do i have to down shift which slows me down.the track officials say it has to be a stock motor but im getting waxed by a ford escort 4 doors lol i am wanting to know what if any tricks i can fo to get more power or a place that i can get maybe parts to upgrade that motor?or what can i do to get more speed and faster times,its a carb motor.thanks if any people can help me or guide me in a direction i need to go.and if it matters i am in missouri.
