Valve clearence on gsr with itr pistons
Ok so installing new 81mm itr pistons into my OBD2 gsr tomorrow and thing that i will come into problems with for Valve slapping problems maybe???
motor has nothing changed but balanced the bottom end for 10k rpm just cause wanted to take it to 9k all day. have gsr dual valve springs on both sides with ITR cams plus arp rod bolts with shot peened rods

u basically have a b18c5 motor assuming this is a us gsr. at that point just some of the little stuff u dont got like the head which is slightly ported and polished along w the itr duel vavle springs and valves which i would get some nice aftermarket springs that r ment for high revs... maybe get the jdm type r rods while u got them out they r a little lighter and stronger even though u got ur gsr rods shot peened, u should be fine w thoughs
If you check the part numbers for all the type R rods and GSR rods, they are they same and they are plenty strong as they are for any all motor application. Shotpeening them will give you no advantage. Piston to valve clearance is not an issue, valve to vale is when running larger cams like the Skunk Pro series.
Ok cool question since everything is out of the car and i have not installed anything yet. Would putting in a set of USDM B16A give me more than the itr's? i have both sets
