Default Turn singnal/ Running Light relay wiring question.

Hey guys, I am retrofitting an LED board in my front signals (01 Prelude) and the led is a two wire setup, and my goal here is to have them off/on/off blink when when the running lights/headlights are OFF, and then on/off/on blink when the running lights/headlights are ON. I used the diagram below and it works great excep for when the lights are off, the signals don't work, but when I turn them on it works as planned, and I was wondering if someone can help me out here, I feel like something needs to go to 87 to make it work, thanks.

Here are some more pics I found if it helps, just trying to figure out the right combo that will work.

I've researched this circuit and tried several designs ranging from switched grounds to triple relay set-ups. The only simple solution I can come up with is to tap into the Load wire of the stock flasher relay and use that to turn off a relay that controls the running lights.

You would only need 1 relay and a couple of diodes and it would work for both the right and left turn signal.

Thanks for the reply. So if I can find the load wire in the wiring schematic, how would I set up the rest of the circuit? Sorry I don't know a whole lot about electronics obviously.

Sorry, now that I look at the stock relay, I don't think it's the Load wire. The Load wire is probably the output side (flashing signal). It's actually the 12V wire you're looking for, which is one of the two vertical pins on the stock flasher unit.

I drew up the diagram to help visualize the circuit.

Awesome, thanks blazin! I will have to check my schematic because my flasher relay isn't a standard 3pin, it has like 6 pins on it, so I will just find the 12v and give that a try.
