Default 2001 civic Multiplex control unit question

Ok so i've experienced all the typical multiplex symptoms brake light, no ac, no automatic door locks etc.. which from reading the forum they all point to a bad multiplex fuse box.
I went and bought a used one from the junkyard for 25$ but it turns out he sold me one for a automatic transmission, my car is a 5 speed, so the question i have is whether or not it will work fine with my car? I read that by using a 5speed multiplex on a automatic prevents your transmission from shifting out of park. but what effect will it have reversed (automatic on a 5 speed)?

trying it on my car fixed the issues i was experiencing but now i got a check engine light with 3 codes P0135 P0141 P1298 that weren't there before. could the wrong multiplex be setting these off does it have anything to do with any of these? or maybe because my other multiplex was defective i couldn't see these codes before?

any help on the subject would be appreciated, this forum has helped me a alot thanks

Automatics and manuals have different part numbers for the MCU. This is for good reason, as they are not compatible.

You'll need to buy the right one.

Manual transmission MCU is Part# 38200-S5P-A11

Automatic transmission MCU is Part# 38200-S5P-A31
