Default Alternator on 2001 EX

I have 180k miles on it. The engine is out for resealing, timing belt and clutch, how long do the alternator's carbon brushes/regulator last? Should I just put it back and hope it last another 100k miles? Where can I get carbon brushes and regulator?

Thanks.

OMG, just the regulator is $191 !!!

I opened up my 180k mile alternator and found that the regulator carbon brush assembly has lots of life left. The bearings were good, so I just put it all back together. If it goes out, I will just get a rebuilt unit for $150.

Thanks.
