i was just wondering if there is a easy way i can correct it myself so it reads right on how much gas i have.
thanks

you could top off all the way to the filler neck and siled the needle until it stops and force it to torque on its shaft and it will raise or offset the needle to the propper level.
i used to be good at this with my crx
for instance to make sure your mpg needle is correct you take the needle a little past straight down and some 320degrees and it would be dead set.

so your saying to make the needle do a whole 320 degree rotation clockwise after you've topped off the tank and set it on the full marker? im a little confused.
wouldn't it be the exact same if i drained the gas tank or let it get really low at least then just moved the needle down just a little bit to the empty marker?
i guess if fixing it is too much of a hassle since its not off by too much, i will continue to just get more gas once i get to the quarter tank because thats what i've been doing.
