Default weird itr swap in eg problem

Okay so i have a weird problem with the swap im trying to do.
I bought a full jdm ITR b18c dropout with lsd trans from a friend, we pulled the motor and when i got all the mounts bolted up the transmission side was sitting about an inch and a half too high.
It sat fine in my friends 4 door eg with those same mounts, but i couldnt figure it out so i tried another set of mounts out of a friends hatch, and still having the same problem.
I bought the shell from a friend who had a b18b1 in it and it sat perfectly level.
Am i missing something? im stumped

That will definitely cause the transmission side to sit up an inch and half too high.

Thats what it is, had same problem after a conversion a couple years ago. Or, has it ever been in an accident, even a fender bender?

Wow thanks for the help guys you were right. I checked out my buddy's hatch that he swapped the b18b1 into that used to be in my car, and his trans is about an inch and a half too low. Now i need to get my hands on an auto to manual trans mount, unless there's any other solution? Glad i know what it is now thanks!

I know you can drill out the spot welds on the frame rail and the re-weld the mount on accordingly.

You could buy an auto to manual conversion mount. Check this out.

Yes you can do this too but I think it's too much work to do. My option is just buy an auto to manual mounts.

Believe me i thought of this haha, but he hasports not sure which insert but they are pretty stiff, and he doesn't want to trade for my urethane street mounts because his car is making 400+whp and he doesn't think they will handle the power.

But i did order and auto to manual mount, should be here tomorrow. Just so im 100% clear on this the other two mounts will work fine correct? its just he trans mount that is different?

Thanks for the help everyone.

The auto to manual conversion mount would be the best way to go. Hope everything works out!! GL
