Stripped ALLEN bolt in GSR head pics.. ANY IDEAS?
As I was in the process of changing out the LMA's, I noticed the intake rocker shaft allen bolts are stripped..
I am looking for some ideas on how to get them out any positive advice is what im looking for thanks..
First pic is how it looked before I touched it..
2nd pic I used a easy out and the easy out ended up snapping in the rocker shaft..
Please someone give me some creative ideas lol

B4 buying the welding stuff which will work. id try pounding a Torx into the stripped out allen hole get the biggest torx u can find in thre pound it in as far as you can you would be surprised iv done this trick many times and almost always works if not well welding it ups prolly gonna be ur best bet
Excellent ideas in this thread.
If I were you I would forget about trying to weld it yourself. You need someone with a Tig welder that has experience welding aluminium.
Good luck and keep us posted.

well actually the bolt isnt going to be aluminum the bolts going to be steel welding a bolt to the bolt wont require a tig a mig will work fine just use an uncoated bolt to weld this onto most bolts you buy at the store have a zink or similar coating which will need 2 be removed for a decent weld to happen this can be taken off with a light touch on a grinder but best choice is to use muratic acid let it soak for a few min then you can weld it up

Sorry for the inaccuracy of my post and thanks for clarifying.
So I tried several different methods except the welding.. The torx socket just spun freely..
If worst comes to worse can I use a tap and take out the threads or the bolt?

As for the other scenario you can drill and retap it, but still want to it right and not make it worse.
The thing is i dont want to pull the head to take it to a shop.. atleast not at the moment!
I've done this several times with small motors and equipment. Find a SAE size that's a hair larger, or better yet a star bit. Ideally you'll find a set that snaps onto a 3/8" socket wrench. Heat the plug up quite a bit, pound the allen/star in with a hammer, then carefully remove it.

Have tryed the star bit and it just keeps spinning.. If you look at the 2nd picture posted I tryed to use a chisel and hammer and now I am thinking me chiselling the head of it has weld it in a way so it is jammed.. Any other option to fix that then try to torque it with some pressure?
Tryed the heat so many times... I can never get it to the point where it is red hot... It gets hot as **** because I burned myself once after touching it after 10 mins.. I out heat on it for about 15-20 mins solid... seemed to do nothing
you do know you shouldn't heat up aluminum like that, right? propane never works for stuck bolts anyway. (i assume that's what you're using?)

take it to a machine shop! they'll get it out in no time...
