i like rice and jdm, but the majority of the people here are show car haters. i see alot of nice cars here but i havent really seen a nice clean show car. i myself hate altezzas and the big old useless wings with rediculous amounts of unecessary stickers, show some clean *** show cars.

show cars aren't rice.... rice = wannabe in my book

show cars are okay, kind of don't serve a purpose, most of the people that win go crazy and change like all the body work... it's good body work, but i mean u can't even drive a car like that and u always got to keep it blinging. I think it's too much work just to have ur car sit in a show room. There's a lot more fun in going fast.

 

you want pictures of cars different from JDM?...what does that mean?....i can't comprehend that...

 

Here are some pics that i have found. I like them even though they do not follow the JDM trend on this board. DO not get me wrong, I like JDM style hondas/acuras, but i also like show cars also. Speed is not everything to me (maybe thats because i have too many tickets and putting turbo on my car would tempt me to get another one). These cars are not rice. If you do not have anything non-negative to say about these cars, then dont say anything. If any of these cars belong to anyone on this board, sorry to post them. And no, i do not like excessive or huge stickers, "shopping cart" spoilers, or altezzas.

The guy that drives that car lives in my city. It is cleeeeaaan. It's not one of those trailer show cars. Its his daily driver.

 

its' pretty funny how most of the show cars have swaps/turbo and most of the JDM POS barely even have mods, just stupid add on lips/black rims/recaro seats.. all the jdm peepz are always talking shi* on the show people when they themselves are just jumping on the bandwagon.. *dont think i made sense* but, just wanted to point out that so many people on this board are such copycats/biters/wannabes that all they do is do up their cars on how other people like it, lacks originality..

...and the reason the show cars need turbos is because of the extra 500 lbs they slap on in altezzas, rims, body kits, etc.

the show cars+turbo is about as slow as a friggin stock car.

yea i heard em, but it was the 2 12" L7s i heard. it sounded ok and decent. i had 2 12s (mtx round) in the trunk before and i just wanted a change. so 3 10s behind the seats would have been perfect for me. plus these only require 1 cubic feet of space per sub, so thats not so bad and i can make the box perfect for it.

I have to disagree. The red civic has around 260hp on a single overhead. Its fast for a show car. I have a friend with a del sol that has altezzas (I am trying to talk him out of them) and it is sort of a show car. It is also daily driven and does 13 second 1/4 mile. Its a turboed single overhead.

 

Hey now that's actually the first time I've seen S14.5 headlights on an Accord, not bad.

But that Insight w/ rims on it, that is so completely pointless, I bet it makes the car's range and gas mileage alot worse.

 

 

I like clean show cars like LJ Garcias, his car was sick when it was blue. I see his car all the time at the shows and you just get tired of seeing it. To answer the questions up top, nowadays people with bodykits are considered rice "why?" you tell me.

yea i know, i kinda missed it. but i had that car for awhile looking like that. im kinda tired of having a really flashy car. and im tired of fiberglass or bondo cracking. it was fun while it lasted but now im gonna put my money into the motor.
