If driving comfort is your goal stock would be best. more agressive suspension has its downsides.
yeah,sorry bout that general comment
no i have never been to any part of CA just goin by what ive seen on "CHiPs" duh duh dutuh duh
thanks for the info fellas, OBVIOUSLY stock **** would work i dont think theres much "tech" in that answer(fouthgenhatch).what would a pro rally team use if they were racing a 90 civ,if there is such a thing as a honda rally team?
what if i used soft stock springs and some stiff *** street struts to take up the extra travel?(possible?)

you can look into progressive rate springs, which would allow proper suspension travel, combine that with better shocks (not sure what to recommend here) but dont get short travel shocks, since the car will be bouncing around.. i dont really know what to tell you, there might be someone in the road race/autoX forum, try there

rally teams use really soft springs and shocks when on dirt/gravel. they want the car to have lots of spring/shock travel for all the bumps. this means more swaying and hence drifting.
so the advice for using stock springs and shocks wasn't so bad if you are talking about rallying not on tarmac.

yeah sorry if there was any confusion, but i dont drive in the dirt. "roads around here arnt quite like track conditions" they are bumpy and uneven but some are the best smoothe mountain curvy hilly roads around.just looking to see if there was any suggestions
