The car actually belongs to my wife. It's a 1998 Accord LX V6. The car runs/drives fine to the destination with no issues. Then all of a sudden, when she gets back into the car it wont start! Doesn't even try to turn over, just a "click, click, click" sound and nothing. The lights and all power accessories seem to be working fine. We tried to jump the battery but that did nothing. We had this same issue about 6 months back but the car decided to fire up that time after about 30 min. of sitting and has been fine up until yesterday. What is usually the cause of this type of problem for these cars? Any help is appreciated.

my 99 Accord V6 had the same problem. changed the ignition switch and seemed to have solved the problem.

 

My guess is starter also.
While the ignition switch is certainly a good possibility too, I would have the starter/solenoid checked first.
