97 Civic LX has bogging problems - i cant figure it out!
Theres a problem with my car and i dont know enough about ..mycar to properly diagnose and repair/fix it. I wont waste your time with a story ill just list symptoms as ive noticed them, im sure someone will be able to figure it out!
1. Engine bogs down only while accelerating
2. Engine bogs down with foot holding pedal down, intake slightly open.
3. Engine bogs down in Neutral while i hold at say 3k
4. I can "snap" it out of this "bogging" if i push the gas harder
5. Engine bogs in any gear
6. When "bogging" ill hold gas at a constant and rpms will drop from say 3k all . the way to 1k and idle will "catch itself" before it drops below 1k.
7. Stick shift
8. Slight leak from exhaust manifold, slight
9. D16y7 high mileage
10. (1) Head cover bolt broken
ALSO
fix my car
A. I've had this problem in the past 2 other, different times, lasts for about aday then seemingly goes away.
B. I also noticed this time, i was driving it nearly all day with no problem, . . .after it rained it happened. It did cool down outside and ialso know that a while ago some retard took off theline running from my ...forget its name but a line runningto my intake from the radiator (or part of it) to cool itdown incase it gets too cold... idk if that would do it but it also wasnt very cold out, i live in FL btw.

1) Any CEL codes?
2) When was the last tune up done (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, ignition timing)?
3) Post pictures of the disconnected hose.

IACV (Idle Air Control valve) I would replace that line, and clean the IACV. Also, could prolly use a tune up, plugs wires, and prolly a new dizzy wouldn't hurt. Seems like either the spark or fuel is getting week. Change the fuel filter also. If none of these things have been changes in quite some time, i'd start doing a tune up to eliminate options as well as helping keep things up to date and clean.
actually the CEL is disconnected, i only have 1 O2 sensor, off my exhaust manifold
plugs are new
distributor cap is old
wires are new
fuel filters new
idk about ignition timing, never been checked
idk about rotor
