Fuel pump not turning on
I have a 91 accord. My fuel pump is not turning on when i turn the ignition. I changed the main relay and that didnt fix it. I checked all the ground and cleaned them up. I checked all the fuses and all are good. When i jump 5 & 7 the pump comes on, so i know its good. I am running out of ideas here. Anyone have any ideaS?
so now when i changed the relay i have no fuel or spark. My coil is getting power. My pump reads power when i jump 5 & 7. When i don't jump it the pump has no power. I took the ground off of the thermostat and the CEL turns off..
where did you get your main relay? i had a starting problem with my prelude and got a main relay from autozone. it made the fuel pump not work sometimes and then eventually didnt work at all. problem was fixed by removing the main relay from my 90 accord and plugging it into the prelude
the ground on the thermostat is the ecu ground which is why the cel goes away. make sure that ground is nice and clean and tight along with the transmission to frame ground and the motor to frame ground next to the drivers side mount.
