Default transmission oil?

what weight oil goes in my ef9 pretty sure its the hf ive heard its 100 i live in the desert idk if that makes a difference thank you

10w-30.

I personally use Honda Manual Transmission Fluid. I have used both and prefer MTF

where can u find that at and how many quarts? i need a pump right since its a manual? thanks guys

go to any honda/acura dealership for the MTF (manual transmission fluid) or regular 10-30w engine oil.

others (like my self) have used Pennzoil syncromesh, and that works fine.

*also, standard amount is 2 quarts.

the dealer will tell you the spec is over two dont fall for that **** get two and a beer bong from auto zone and fill it till it spills out

Are you talking about filling from the vss until it spills?

OP, drain the trans, plug back up, remove the vss at the rear of the trans, use a long funnel and pour in two quarts of mtf/oil/syncromesh and pop the vss back in. You're done.

He's talking about filling it from the proper location, as you're not supposed to fill from the vss hole.

i use penzoil syncromesh and 10w30. about 2 qts i believe or 2 1/2.
