P2W DD, possibly spray
Hey guys, just wanted to see what your inputs are on piston to wall clearance. I got my hands on an RS machine block (85mm, 10:1 JEs, 89stroke, etc.) about a year ago and was going to use it as a nitrous motor, but my machinist said the piston to wall was too loose (.005). I've been doing some research and notice that some people usually run this amount of clearance on High boost applications and drag only cars(some DD).
Long story short, I feel like I should've boosted this block, but didn't, so it sat around and now has a little surface rust and must go overbore.
My question IS, what clearance do u guys recommend for a 12-12.5:1 CR daily driven setup? Hoping for 230-240whp(will most likely be using pro2s). I will TRY to keep the bore at 85.5mm and will go bigger if needed(although I really don't want to).
