engine mount fabrication experience... HELP
Vehicle: 94 honda civic sedan (DX) with a JDM D15B automatic
Well…
My transmission mount is making contact with the frame (mounting bracket). The mount is crooked and sitting a bit to the rear. This has happened to me with (2) different engine swaps in (2) different vehicles… I am thinking it is because I am installing the engine through the top (cherry-pick/hoist) and did/do not follow the correct sequencing to tighten the mounts.
I do not plan on selling the vehicle and driving it to the ground (another 90k). I am afraid it will vibrate/deteriorate the engine mount bracket/frame. Any ideas? Unscrew/rescrew is not working out… it sits like that after I drive.

Dude. You can put them in either way. What mount/ bracket setup are you running what motor what chassis. As long as the frame or front bulkheads aren't bent it should be relatively easy with the correct parts.
i also experienced this is a DEL SOL (guess another EG) with a JDM b18c with Hasports Automatic-Manual Mount.
