D4 light blinks continuously on intermittent occasions. Usually when hot.
92 accord lx. Never does it when I'm driving. Only when it's been off for more than a minute and like I said it's a hot engine. Usually it won't start (I'm pretty sure this is when the main relay isn't clicking on cuz I don't think I hear it) but sometimes it WILL start and the D4 light continuously blinks still and I only get a 20th of the power to the wheels. I've replaced the TCM with one from a local junkyard. Now I've been told it's electrical or a sensor on top of the transmission or the safety neutral switch. AHHHHH!!!!! This is one of 20 problems I've had with it in 3 weeks! It has been the ultimate jigsaw! I'm broke and frustrated....HELP!!

greetings...my 1994 is doin da same thing.been told 2 check da main relay & gona get her checked out next week 2 hopefully get the problem solved once and for all.wiil let u kno what the out come & let u kno.
On the accords when the d4 light flashes its like a check engine light for your tranny. Go to a transmission shop and have them check for codes. Then and only then will someone be able to guide you in the right direction. As of right now it could be one of hundreds of things and you will be chasing this problem forever unless you get the codes.
Tried that, unfortunately. Got one for five bucks at the junkyard rather than 50-60 thru my parts shop. It's your choice to try that first. I think mine might be the safety neutral switch, but Tom's right. I'm going to get a free diag tomorrow at a shop. You should do the same (before or after you replace the main relay). Be careful, though. I recommend picking a BBB accredited shop and call them to get an idea of their process. Thanks for reading. Both of you.
