I started the last thread and want to end it with this one, I want to be 100% sure on who is going to tune my car. PEOPLE PLEASE ANSWER THIS! I HAVE HEARD LOTS OF GOOD THINGS ABOUT THESE SHOPS BUT CAN ONLY GET MY CAR TUNED AT ONE SHOP!

Yeah theses cars have put down good numbers but how reliable is the tune? Profunctions builds and tunes on reliability and still put down awesome numbers.every turbo kseries they have done put down over 500hp and are daily driven. You dnt have to worry about someone not tuning or building your car to its full potential just cuz it would be faster than there own cars. Lol just go to Profunctions lol

PROFUNCTION Mikey's shop build my D-series motor/trans, installed my turbo kit, and Mikey tune it. they are the best show me everything they did told how to take care of it and everything, also even told that kind/weight of oil to use in my autox or drag events. every time i have a question about something they have no problem helping my out.

 

tuning to make power safely is one thing, the other is street tuning and how driveable your car is on the street. and how well the tuner works with you to actually tune all your low speed maps

read through both posts and it's pretty funny how much people don't know about shops in general. For example, Another pretty popular shop in this post, uses the same machine shop I do. i've shot the **** with him when I was dropping off parts. I am sure every shop has blown a motor. Before my motor blew, we went through 8 transmission and 2 manifolds. 700-800 whp and reliability don't belong in the same sentence. Dyno #s are just #s. I've blown my own motor after 100s of passes on the dyno for r&d. and 30 passes at the track. Streetable/streetcars, we have 10s streetable cars that don't choose to drive the car on the street often. This last Sunday we brought 3 cars and went 3 for 3 on 10s passes, which was pretty good.. Beeyond holds it down for the fastest fwd iin the area @ 9.65, which doesn't necessarily make them the best either. There is a combination of things that makes a shop preferrable over another.
