97 honda accord reservoir coolant boiling
I have a 97 Honda accord, just had head redone, new gasket set, new timing belts, new water pump, new radiator. The car does NOT overheat, yet after driving and parking it the reservoir water begins to boil and come out of the tank. I've tried bleeding the system and the problem persist. Any suggestions? Has anyone found themselves facing this issue willing to give a helping hand? Lmk any info is greatly appreciated, thanks..
I have the same exact problem on my 97 and can't figure out why so much heat is produced. I need to fix the head gasket , just curious, was it a difficult task. Never done it before.
the only time ive seen the coolant in the res boil/bubble was when my thermostat broke. u can take the cap off ur radiator start the car n get it up to temp n see if u can actually see flow thru ur radiator. and they make a kit to test ur head gasket thru ur radiator. i got a 94 civic that burns coolant but even then i havent seem my res boil/bubble, but it might depend on the size of ur leak, and if it was leaking coolant ud notice ur levels dropping
